About Us

Siddique Ice & Cold Storage operates an ammonia-based refrigeration plant in Islamabad, Pakistan. We specialize in cold storage, block ice manufacturing, and in-house engineering services. We run our own staff kitchen, which serves our plant workers and hostel residents.

Position

• Job Title: Cook
• Location: On-site, Islamabad (staff kitchen)
• Job Type: Full-time, permanent
• Schedule: Rotating shifts covering all three daily meal services, seven days a week, shared with one other cook

Key Responsibilities

• Cook and serve three meals a day to the menu, including roti
• Work to the set recipe and portion for each item
• Run the kitchen store: stock rotation, storage, and indents before items run out
• Record every meal served on the kitchen card scanner
• Account for consumption at the weekly kitchen stock count and explain any variance
• Maintain hygiene and safe food handling in the kitchen, store, and serving area
• Cover the other cook's leave days

Requirements

• 5+ years in a staff canteen, mess, hostel, hotel, or catering kitchen serving 50+ people daily
• Able to use a tablet card scanner after training
• Forecast the week's raw material requirement
